Julia LeBlanc joined the NBC Connecticut morning team in February 2025. She reports live weekdays from 5–7 a.m., contributes to the 11 a.m. newscast, and occasionally appears on evening broadcasts and the anchor desk.
Julia brings a strong background in local journalism, having reported and anchored in Utica and Syracuse, New York, before spending nearly four years covering news across Connecticut. She’s especially passionate about stories that focus on school safety, mental health, and education.
Her journey with NBC Connecticut began as an intern in 2017 — making her return to the station a meaningful full-circle moment.
A Newtown native and graduate of the University of Connecticut, Julia is deeply connected to the communities she serves.
Outside the newsroom, she enjoys being “Auntie J,” exploring the outdoors, and traveling with her husband.
