Retiring Special Olympics CT President Beau Doherty Honored at Dunkin' Donuts Park

Special Olympics Connecticut president Beau Doherty was honored before the Yard Goats game at Dunkin’ Donuts Park Sunday. Beau is retiring after 40 years of creating opportunity, equality and inclusion for athletes of all abilities in Connecticut and around the world. Beau founded the Special Olympics Unified Sports program which brings teammates of all abilities together on the same team. Today, Unified Sports has more than 1.4 million participants worldwide.
