Mac Bohonnon left his Madison, Conn. home at the age of 13, in pursuit of becoming an Olympic Freestyle Aerialist.
That dream came true today for the 18-year-old who became the only American to advance to the final rounds. And it was during his first ever Olympics.

Bohonnon looked like anything but a newcomer on the international stage.
After run 1, he was in 7th place out of 12. In run two, he moved to 5th place out of eight, but that was not enough to advance further.
Social media is flooded with pride at how the local teen did during the games.
