60-Year-Old Man Killed in Orange Crash

A 60-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash on Route 34 in Orange on Monday morning.

Police said the crash happened on Derby Avenue, or Route 34, at Dogwood and Dogburn roads just after 8 a.m. on Monday and Wayne Davis, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Orange Volunteer Fire Department removed him from the car and the Office of the State Medical Examiner transported him from the scene so an autopsy can be performed.

The driver of the other car, identified as  Lyn Hien Le, 41, sustained minor injuries and was treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Police are investigating, but said it appears that Davis was traveling south on Dogburn Road and crossing Derby Avenue and Le was traveling west on Derby Avenue when the crash happened.

Any witnesses are asked to call Officer John Reshotnik at 203-891-2130.
