Governor Expands Unemployment Benefits for Nearly 38,000 CT Residents

The governor is signing an executive order to allow thousands of Connecticut residents who were collecting less than $100 per week in unemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic from the end of July to the beginning of September to be eligible for an additional $300 per week in federal benefits. The order would allow them to collect retroactively for that six-week span.
