‘Llama Drama Over': Granby Police Unite Pet With Its Owner

Granby Police Unite Llama With Its Owner

A llama found wandering in Granby Thursday morning has been reunited with its owner.

"The Llama Drama is over. Animal has been reunited with owner," Granby police tweeted

The llama was found wandering in the area of Notch Road around 8:30 a.m. Thursday and Granby police reached out to the public in hopes of getting the animal back home.

At first resident, Hoa Nguyen, didn't know what it was.

“I thought it was a bear because this morning I saw my little bear right here,” Nguyen said

After slowly approaching Nguyen was finally able to make out the mystery animal.

“I looked up again I said, 'Oh my God that's a llama',” Nguyen said.

A veterinarian checked the animal and a resident with expertise in llamas was taking care of it until police could find the owner.
