First Heat Wave Friday Followed by Storms Saturday

The hot and humid weather continues...

Temperatures have climbed into the 90s in the Hartford area making it the first official heat wave of the year.

A heat wave is when temperatures have reached or exceeded the 90 degree mark for 3 consecutive days.

Humidity will increase as we head through the weekend with moderate to high humidity on Friday and oppressive humidity on Saturday. Temperatures are expected in the 80s Saturday with a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
