Man who struck school bus in Cheshire has died: police

One person was seriously injured in a crash on Route 10 in Cheshire on Monday morning. Police said the driver who was injured was involved in a crash with a school bus.

The driver who struck a school bus in Cheshire on Monday morning has died, according to police.

Police said Casey Kennedy, 52, of Cheshire crossed the double yellow line on Highland Avenue and hit the front of a school bus that was in the southbound side around 6:26 a.m.

The crash happened at Stony Hill Road and the school bus driver tried to move as far to the right of the southbound lane as possible, police said.

The drivers were the only people in the vehicles.

Kennedy was taken to an area hospital and he later died from the injuries, police said.

Highland Avenue, or Route 10, was closed between Stony Hill Road and Country Club Road but has since reopened.
