No Deal: Agent Says Jimmy Garoppolo's Instagram Was Hacked

Jimmy Garoppolo’s agent says his client’s social media account was hacked.

It appears New England Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo's Instagram account has been hacked.

A post on the backup quarterback's Instagram account on Friday morning said, “So grateful for my time in New England. Peace out Boston," leading many to believe he was being traded and sending Patriots fans into a frenzy.

The Instagram post has since been taken down. Don Yee, Garoppolo's agent, said in an email Friday that "Jimmy's social media account was hacked."

Garoppolo has been the subject of numerous trade rumors in recent weeks, specifically involving the Cleveland Browns.

The Patriots did not respond to requests for comment on Friday morning.

Garoppolo played well in the first two games for the Patriots last season while filling in for Tom Brady during his 4-game "Deflategate" suspension. He was injured in Week 2, which forced him to sit out the final two games of Brady's suspension.
