Willimantic police have arrested a juvenile after an investigation into a vague threat on social media made against members of the Windham High School community and said they seized a BB gun that was used in the post.
Police said they were alerted Wednesday about a vague threat in response to a disturbance at the high school earlier in the day, which school staff had resolved.
Police started investigating, identified a witness and a suspect and arrested the suspect. They seized a BB gun as evidence and said it was used in the social media post.
Police said the suspect at no time was on the grounds of the school. He has a future court date in juvenile court.
