A 21-year-old New Canaan man has been charged with possession of child pornography after a computer repair technician found child pornography on the man’s computer, according to New Canaan police.
A technician with P.C. Richards and Sons alerted police after finding child pornography on
Elliot Maynes’ laptop on July 10, police said.
Police obtained a search and seizure warrant for the computer, performed a forensic analysis and found more than 50 images.
Maynes, of 283 Buttery Road, was charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree.
He was released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on July 27.
