Police are investigating after a man was shot in the shoulder in Waterbury on Thursday night.
Waterbury police spokesman Deputy Chief Fernando Spagnolo said a gunshot was reported near the intersection of Pine and Willow streets around 9 p.m.
Responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound on Mitchell Avenue, according to police, who said the bullet went through his right shoulder and bicep.
Several witnesses reported hearing a shot in the area.
Police said the victim was taken to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities are investigating.
