A man suspected of stealing more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and a dozen guns during burglaries in late November in Shelton is suspected in several burglaries in the area, according to police.

Shelton Police arrested 44-year-old Walter Gonzalez, of Bridgeport, today on two active arrest warrants charging him with 12 counts of theft of a firearm, two counts of third-degree burglary, one count of first-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

Gonzalez is accused of stealing jewelry and a television during a burglary on Lady Slipper Drive and stealing a large safe holding 12 firearms and more than $100,000 worth of jewelry from a home Isinglass Road.
