Masked Men With Guns Rob Orange Service Plaza

Two men who were wearing masks and gloves and carrying guns robbed the Wilbur Cross Parkway South Service Plaza in Orange early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Two men who were wearing masks and gloves and carrying guns robbed a convenience store and a Dunkin' Donuts at the Wilbur Cross Parkway South Service Plaza in Orange early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officials said the robbery happened around 4:15 a.m. and an employee was taken to the hospital after she tripped and hit her head when the robbers came in. She was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital.

State police said two men entered the building at the rest area on Route 15 south in Orange around 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

The men were wearing black hoodies with the hoods pulled over their heads and white gloves and left the area in a red, coupe-style Honda.

State troopers responded to the scene and Central District Major Crime detectives are investigating.

Customers were inside during the robbery and none were hurt.

The service plaza reopened around 7 a.m.

Police said the men left in a red coupe-style Honda.
