Middletown's half marathon will be postponed amid the risk of snow on Sunday, Hartford Marathon Foundation said.
The 4 mile Middletown Half Marathon & Legends is postponed as April snow rolls into the state tomorrow morning. The Hartford Marathon Foundation said the group worked closely with the city for the decision.
"This decision was not made lightly. The Mayor's office worked closely today with the Health Department, Emergency Management, Middletown Fire Department, Middletown Police Department, Public Works Department as well as Middlesex Hospital in determining the safety risk from snow and high winds," the group said on its blog.
The group said it will provide updates on Facebook and Twitter in regards to rescheduling.
