A New Haven police officer is recovering after getting injured in a hit-and-run on Saturday night.
Officials said the officer was hit near Long Wharf Drive around 10:15 p.m.
The officer suffered minor injuries and is recovering, police added.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is possibly a black Nissan-style SUV.
The incident remains under investigation.
