Old Saybrook Police Warn of ‘Coyote Conflicts'

Old Saybrook police are monitoring an uptick over the past few months in "coyote conflicts with domestic animals."

Police caution residents not to leave dogs unattended, but to keep them on leashes when supervised.

Town officials have been in contact with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection about the issue.

Police also warn residents not to feed the coyotes, to call 911 if anyone sees a coyote or wild animal that looks injured, ill or is acting agressive toward people.
