Woman Pinned Between Cars, Another Run Over in Meriden Crash

A woman was run over by a car and another pinned between two vehicles in a three-car accident in Meriden Tuesday night.

Meriden police said around 9:36 p.m. A Honda Odyssey and a Chevy Impala were involved in a minor accident in the area of 474 Chamberlain Highway. The driver of the Chevy, identified as Cynthia Santiago of Meriden, got out of her car to check the damage. A passenger in the Honda, identified as Feizi Wang, also exited her vehicle.

Police said it was then that a Nissan Altima rear-ended the Chevy. The force of impact caused the Chevy to run over Wang, who was sitting on the curb, and pinned Santiago between the two vehicles.

Wang was airlifted to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar. Santiago was also transported to Hartford Hospital. Police said both women are listed in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the Nissan, identified as Tyrrell McFadden, and the driver of the Honda, identified as Dao Zhangming, were not transported.

No charges have been filed.
