Prospect Street was closed near Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic for several hours while crews worked to repair a water main break Thursday, according to police.
The break was reported just prior to 7:30 p.m. and the road was closed between Jackson and Oak streets for nearly 12 hours while repairs were underway.
Prospect Street has since reopened and service has been restored.
