Heat Wave to Continue on Tuesday

Today will be hot, and it will be a good day to get some relief at the beaches. NBC Connecticut’s Bob Maxon provides the daytime forecast on June 25.

Monday was the second of several hot days and temperatures on Tuesday are expected to climb into the 90s again.

At 2:42 p.m. on Monday, the temperature at Bradley Airport hit 94 degrees Fahrenheit, which tied the record set in 1975.

Connecticut will officially have a heat wave on Tuesday if the mercury reaches 90 degrees or higher at Bradley Airport.

A heat wave is defined as three consecutive days with temperatures of 90 degrees or higher.

Tuesday will be hot and humid, with inland highs around 92 degrees and shoreline highs around 84 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms might also roll in this afternoon.

Wednesday brings little relief, with highs around 90 degrees inland and 82 on the shore.
