Route 72 is congested in Plainville after a crash closed the westbound side of the highway and one eastbound lane on Monday evening, according to state police.
Police said the highway has reopened but traffic is moving slowly.
Injuries have been reported. It's not clear how many cars were involved or how many people were hurt.
