Police have arrested a 37-year-old East Haven man suspected of committing a bank robbery in Plainfield, and several other towns.
Madison police have taken Christopher Boyle into custody. He was wanted on an arrest warrant charging him with third-degree robbery and second-degree larceny, according to Plainfield Police.
Bishop is also accused of robbing Liberty Bank Robbery in Madison on Nov. 18, First Niagara Bank in North Branford on Oct. 5 and Citizens Bank, at 16 Railroad Ave., in Plainfield on Dec. 5.
After an in-depth investigation that brought Plainfield police to Wallingford, Middletown, East Haven, New Haven and Madison, they identified Boyle as the suspect.
Police said Bishop is also suspected of recent bank robberies in Waterbury, Meriden, Essex and Plainfield. The investigation into these robberies is ongoing.
Connecticut State Police and the FBI are also investigating.
Madison and North Branford Detectives took Bishop into custody on Friday and he was then transported to the Madison Police Department for processing.

Bishop is being held on a $250.000 court set bond and is scheduled to appear in court in New Haven on Dec, 12 in the Madison case.
Bond was set at $100,000 in the North Branford case.
