UConn Alumni to Celebrate NCAA National Champs

Storrs was a giant party Tuesday night after the UConn women’s basketball team took home its tenth NCAA national title.

Proud UConn alumni will be celebrating the championship winning women’s basketball team during a reception next week.

The team defeated Notre Dame on Tuesday night to win their 10th national title and the UConn alumni association has a special event planned to honor the team on Monday, April 13.

A reception will be held at the Werth Family UConn Basketball Champions Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those who attend will be able to check out UConn’s basketball practice facility, interact with the coaches and players, and join head coach Geno Auriemma in celebrating the program’s 10th NCAA National Championship.

Complimentary beer and wine service, will be offered, along with assorted hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

Tickets cost $75 per person and are non-refundable.
