A Stratford man was charged after a deadly head-on crash in Milford early Saturday morning.
State police said a GMC Sierra was going southbound on the northbound side of I-91 north near exit 34 around 2:00 a.m. when it collided head-on with a Toyota Camry.
The driver of the Camry, identified as 35-year-old Tianzhu Yuan of North Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, troopers observed a strong smell of alcohol emanating from the driver of the Sierra's breath.

The driver, 41-year-old James Tedesco of Milford, had admitted to drinking prior to the crash and refused to submit to any field sobriety tests.
Tedesco was charged with operating under the influence and is expected to face additional charges.
While he was in the processing area at Troop G in Bridgeport, Tedesco complained of chest pain and was later transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.

Tedesco was released later that day on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He is due to be arraigned in Milford Superior Court in early December.
