Elisabetta Canalis: Relationship with Clooney “Father-Daughter” Like

The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and George Clooney flame opens up about her time with the A-lister

Is it true that Elisabetta Canalis really has an Eminem tattoo on her arm? Plus, now that she was voted off of “Dancing with the Stars,” what kind of work is she looking for in the United States? Does she think that her Italian accent is a hindrance to her finding work?

Maybe it sounds better in the original Italian.

Elisabetta Canalis, the model and former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, spoke openly about her relationship with A-list actor George Clooney in Italian journalist Bruno Vespa's new book "This Love." Surprisingly and somewhat shockingly, she describes their time together as "more of a father-daughter relationship."

Canalis, who split with Clooney last June, attempted to clairfy this unsual statement by explaining that Clooney "valued [her] feminine side the most" and "has been special for me, and very important, just as a father would be."

The 33-year-old also went on to quell rumors that her break-up with the 50-year-old "Ides of March" star had something to do with her wanting to get married and start a family.

"George and I never spoke of marriage nor of having kids," she says. "I don't put limits to the possibility of having them, but neither George nor I had ever envisaged having kids together. The end of the relationship was not caused by a marriage issue, but instead by our personal needs."

Clooney has recently been linked with another former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, model and former WWE personality Stacy Keibler.
