How Guns Are Traced

When guns are recovered in crime scenes around the country, tracing their history is not something out of Hollywood with elaborate computer databases. Instead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) does it in rural West Virginia using paper, people and time.
