‘We Are Rooting For You': Obama to Carter on His Cancer Battle

Former President Jimmy Carter announced on August 12 his battle with advanced cancer. He said he’d offer a more complete statement next week but in the meantime, President Obama released a statement: “Jimmy, you’re as resilient as they come, and along with the rest of America, we are rooting for you.”
