Perhaps if I Put on ‘My Blackface Makeup' You'll Get It, Voter Tells Poll Worker in Racially Charged Fray

A Houston poll worker is issued citation for “assault by contact” Tuesday after a racially charged altercation with a voter. The voter, Rolanda Anthony, says the poll worker questioned her home address when she tried to cast her ballot. When Anthony asked a followup question, she says the worker’s response was racially charged. Anthony said to her, “Perhaps if I put on my blackface makeup today you would be able to comprehend what I’m saying,” she says. KPRC’s Brittany Jeffers reports.
