Michael Vick Hired as NFL Studio Analyst by Fox Sports: Report

Vick is now a decade removed from a dog fighting conviction which temporarily derailed his career

Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick has a new gig as NFL studio analyst for Fox Sports, according to USA Today.

Vick played for 13 seasons in the NFL, primarily for the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles. His career was interrupted in 2007 after he was arrested and convicted for his role in a dog fighting operation on his Virginia property.

Vick started this summer working as a coaching intern with the Kansas City Chiefs. According to USA Today he will will serve as a studio analyst for FOX NFL Kickoff, which leads into Fox NFL Sunday. He will also make appearances on FS1 studio shows as part of his new role. Fox is expected to officially make the announcement Sunday.

Vick made waves in recent weeks giving his opinion on the Colin Kaepernick controversy with the NFL. During an interview Vick suggested Kaepernick, who protested social injustices by kneeling during the national anthem, should cut his hair if he wants to back in the NFL. Vick later apologized for the comment.
