McConnell: GOP Can Work With Obama on Trade, Taxes

Sen. Mitch McConnell, who is poised to become the next Senate majority leader, said Wednesday that he hopes to find common ground with President Obama on international trade issues and tax reform. He said he had a "good, friendly" conversation with Obama following his re-election in Kentucky. While McConnell said there "probably" are areas of agreement, he told reporters that Obama won't like everything gets passed. "We're going to go back to work and actually pass legislation," he said. He vowed "there will be no government shutdowns" or default on the national debt on his watch.
