Jon Stewart On Leaving ‘The Daily Show'

Jon Stewart announced he is leaving “The Daily Show” during a taping of Tuesday’s show. “I am a terrible employee. But, in my heart I know it is time for someone else to have that opportunity,” Stewart said. He said he doesn’t have any specific plans, just ideas in his head. He said details are being worked out on when his run will end.
