“You take the cards that are dealt you and you play them,” Catherine Zietz said. The 91-year-old who has wanted to see D.C.’s beautiful cherry blossom trees for decades missed peak bloom. But she explained why her trip to the nation’s capital from Texas, made possible by charity Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living, was still fulfilling. News4’s Derrick Ward reports.
