Manager Alex Cora has been fired by the Red Sox as the MLB weighs his discipline in the sign-stealing scandal.

Alex Cora left the Boston Red Sox Tuesday night in the middle of an MLB investigation into sign stealing in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Cora was part of the World Series-winning Houston Astros in the former and managed the Red Sox to win the championship in the latter.

Both sides said Cora left by mutual consent. Read their full statement below:
