Budget Cuts Threaten Independent Living Center Funding

The Office of Policy Management says difficult program reductions were made in order to present a balanced budget and close a projected 1.7 billion dollar deficit. A spokesperson for OCM explains that ILC’s are not a core service of the Department of Rehabilitation Services and says that ILC’s do receive funding through other sources including federal funds.
