Husband Charged With Murder in Torrington Woman's Death

Police have charged a Torrington man with murder in connection with the death of his wife. Daniel Gervais, 70, was arrested on Wednesday. Police were called to the Gervais home at 63 Cider Mill Crossing on April 22 after Daniel Gervais called 911 reporting that his wife had fallen and was dead, according to authorities. Arriving officers found the body of 79-year-old Phyllis Gervais on the floor with significant head trauma.
