There were dozens of school delays and some closures on Thursday because of a storm that brought pouring rain, strong winds, sleet and snow to Connecticut.
The storm also brought down trees and wires, closing some roads.
With temperatures below freezing in parts of the state, sleet caused some slippery driving conditions.

Towns across the state experienced flooding and strong winds have brought down trees and wires.
Flooding closed the Interstate 95 South off-ramp at exit 30 on Thursday morning and video showed a car that was stuck in water off the highway.
Eversource warned customers about flooding concerns with the ground already saturated from last week's storm before this one began.
Eversource is reporting around 2,500 outages as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Friday looks mostly cloudy with highs near 47. Saturday will be gray and there will be better weather on Sunday.
