Most outages are in Tolland, Mansfield, New Hartford, Glastonbury, Stamford and Coventry.
Power outages are causing issues for schools in Coventry. The middle and high school complex is dismissing students at 11 a.m. because of power issues.
The weather is impacting Bolton schools.
Schools in Columbia are dismissing early because trees and wires are down, making some roads impassable. Horace Porter School will close at 12:45 p.m. Columbia high school students will be picked up at their high schools at 11:30 a.m.
Tolland Alert reported that the Tolland Fire Department is responding to several calls reporting trees and wires coming down because of high winds and ice on the trees.
