Rescuers: Trapped Mom's Survival “Truly a Miracle”

Rescue workers and the person who discovered a Colorado mom after she had been trapped in her totaled car for at least six days said Tuesday that her survival was miraculous, NBC News reported. The 43-year-old single mother of four, Kristin Hopkins, had written a note on an umbrella that said, "thirsty + hungry; 6 days no food or water." She was found extremely dehydrated in an aspen grove after falling about 120 feet off a scenic Colorado highway and had to have her feet amputated.
