Todd Piro is an anchor for NBC Connecticut. He can be seen weekday mornings from 4:30-7 a.m. on NBC Connecticut Today, alongside co-anchor Tara Joyce, First Alert meteorologist Bob Maxon and First Alert traffic reporter Heidi Voight.

Todd loves Connecticut and New England’s changing seasons. He enjoys covering politics and reporting on heartwarming events like family reunions at sailor homecomings at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton.
Before calling Connecticut home, Todd was a morning anchor in Palm Springs, California. Prior to his broadcast news career, Todd practiced law in Los Angeles.
He graduated from Dartmouth College and UCLA Law School.
Todd volunteers for NBC Connecticut’s Partners in a Caring Community initiative and is a regular emcee at community events. He is a board member for Amy’s Angels and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford and enjoys reading to children in schools across the state.
When he’s not reporting, Todd enjoys sports and spending time with family.
