Debra Bogstie loves the changing seasons of New England and is proud to call Connecticut home. She joined NBC Connecticut in July 2004 as a reporter. She covers all types of stories and particularly enjoys serving the community with in-depth consumer and investigative reporting.
Debra launched her career in Lincoln, Neb., where she worked as a weekend reporter for KOLN-KGIN TV while still in college. Since then, she spent time working as a journalist in Vermont, New York and Florida. When the job in Connecticut opened up, she jumped at the chance to head back to a cooler climate!
Debra graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in broadcast journalism. She went on to continue her education, earning a masters degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University.
In her time away from work, Debra enjoys traveling, exercising and shopping. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog.
