Steve Litz joined NBC 6 South Florida in October 2007 as a general assignment reporter. He is the station's political reporter. Having grown up in Miami Beach, Steve loves driving around his ‘hometown’ reporting on significant news events.
Before joining NBC 6, Steve spent about ten years covering politics, education and general news for WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Other cities on his TV tour include a one-year stint in Akron, Ohio, and two years in Dayton. His broadcasting career started in radio at WINZ-AM in Miami.
A graduate of Georgia State University, Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. When not on the job, he likes to watch the news and spend as much time outside as possible.
