Former Associate FDA Commissioner Peter Pitts joined LX News to explain the new guidance and why embracing the vaccine is the best way to get our country back to normal.

Connecticut's COVID-19 test positivity climbed to 3.56% on Tuesday as hospitalizations and deaths also increased, the state reported.

Of the 21,030 tests administered since Monday, 749 came back positive. Monday's test positive rate was 2.63%.

Hospitalizations, which have been on a largely downward trend, increased by 13 to 401. The state also reported 14 additional deaths.
