Shootings Erupt at Hartford Pizzeria and Nightclub

Hartford Police are investigating two shootings that happened less than 30 minutes apart and left six people injured, one in serious condition, early Saturday morning.

At 1:54 a.m. police responded to a shooting at The Mansion night club on Ann Street.   It appears the shooting escalated from a fight inside the club.

When police arrived, they discovered a male in the stairwell who had been shot in the abdomen.  His injury is not life threatening.  His name is not being released at this time.

The second shooting occurred a short while later at 2:13 a.m., at Papa's Pizza at Union Place.

Five people were shot inside of the restaurant  by two suspects, according to police.  The victims fled out into the street and police were able to apprehend a suspect still inside of the restaurant.

The alleged shooter, Byron Taylor,  was arrested and faces numerous weapons charges.

All five of the victims were transported to the hospital, with four of the victims sustaining non-life threatening injuries. The fifth victim was shot in the back and is in serious condition, said police.

Police are not sure if these two shootings are related at this time.
