Coyotes have been spotted near houses in Prospect and police are urging residents to be aware, especially while jogging or walking in the early morning or late evening.
In a Facebook post, Prospect police also warn people with pets to be on the lookout.
Police also remind residents that bears, bobcats and even occasional moose are other animals, are part of life here in Connecticut.
