Students at the Griswold Middle School in Rocky Hill were evacuated and moved to Rocky Hill High School as a precaution after a bomb threat on Monday morning and they have returned to their own school, according to the superintendent's office.
Mark Zito, the superintendent of schools, said in a statement to the school community that the call came from Bradley International Airport and state police detained the suspected caller.
State police said the person who was involved was transported from the airport to a medical personnel for an evaluation. They said Rocky Hill Police are investigating the threat.
Police said Monday that the credibility of the threat appeared to be low, but the school was evacuated as a precaution.

"While the threat is not believed to be credible, the police still recommended the evacuation out of an abundance of caution. Police will thoroughly sweep GMS in accordance with their safety protocols, and students and staff will return to GMS once the police have provided the 'all clear,'" Zito said in a statement.
The scene has since been cleared.
