Slush Caused Issues During Early Morning Commute

The roads are clear now, but there were several issues this morning after a nor'easter dumped up to a couple of inches of slush in parts of the state.

One major issue was a tractor-trailer crash that closed  Interstate 395 northbound in Killingly.

The tractor-trailer jackknifed near exit 43, or the old exit 94, around 1:30 a.m. and the highway was closed for hours but has reopened.

State police said around 6:45 a.m. that they have responded to 100 crashes overnight and around 75 spinouts.

No other information was available about the I-395 crash.

Route 15 South in East Hartford was also closed after a tractor-trailer jacknifed before the I-84 split, but the road has reopened.

Many of the roads were clear as of 7 a.m. and crews have worked to clear the back roads.

The forecast for Wednesday is for temperatures to rise into the 50s.
