Bristol police have been investigating whether there's a connection between two random BB gun shootings earlier this year and said the "suspect identifiers" are similar and they are reaching out to the public to help solve the case.

The first shooting was around 6:50 p.m .on Jan. 30 when two veterans were pelted by BB gunfire at while waiting for a cab in front of the Disabled American Veterans Club on Riverside Avenue in Bristol.

A 66-year-old man was hit in the face and the other man was grazed.

Emile Morin, of Bristol, said he was grazed by a BB.

'Yeah, yeah, I'm OK I guess," he said.

The next shooting was at 8 p.m on Feb. 2 when a 58-year-old man who was walking near 200 Blakeslee Street in Bristol was hit in the face with a BB. A person holding a BB gun then confronted the victim and fired again before running away.

The victim had two non-life-threatening puncture wounds on the right side of his face and neck.

Police released a partial description of the possible shooter and said he is stocky, between 20 and 30, and about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9.
