An NBC Connecticut crew reported a tree down across the I-384 exit 3 entrance ramp.

There are reports of trees down on cars on Grandview Street. Trees crashed onto homes on Pearl Street. Video from one scene shows siding ripped from the side of the home.

Jeff Rhodes was among those watching round after round of downpours and gusty conditions.

My cellphone was pinging with a tornado warning so shut the windows in the house and looked outside and heard the tree go down on the neighbor’s house.”

That’s when Rhodes and his wife ran to see if everyone was okay at the nearby home on Pearl Street.

Thankfully he says no one was hurt including a woman who lives there.

“She was terrified. She said that the top of the tree, up there. That’s where her bedroom is, went right through the corner of her bedroom. She’s OK.”
