Building Evacuated After Gas Main Break in New Haven

The building at 260 James Street in New Haven has been evacuated after a gas main break, according to officials from the New Haven Fire Department.

The building is located near Saltinstall Avenue and the situation appears to be under contol, according to the NBC Connecticut crew at the scene.

No other evacuations are expected.

Utility crews are at the scene, there are no reports of injuries and this is having a marginal impact on traffic.
