Police have arrested the man accused of robbing an East Haven motel last month.
Richard Filipelli, 55, of Short Beach Road in East Haven, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
He’s accused of holding up the Motel 6 at 320 East Main Street in East Haven along with another man the morning on June 17. According to police, the men walked into the motel around 4 a.m., jumped the counter and grabbed a cash drawer containing $218.
Video surveillance helped police identify Filipelli as one of the suspects. He was held on $150,000 bond and is due in court Monday morning.
